Breaking up and your pension
Are you divorced? Has your registered partnership ended? Or are you not cohabiting anymore? This could have consequences for your pension. It's important to know what arrangements to make.
What does a divorce mean for your pension?
Divorce or end of registered partnership
After divorce or termination of the registered partnership, your ex-partner is entitled to part of the old-age pension and partner’s pension.
End of cohabitation
If you are no longer cohabiting, your ex-partner is entitled to a partner’s pension. You can agree to waive this right together.
Reporting your break-up
When you break up, lots of things will have to be arranged. Like the apportionment of your pension. Upload your divorce papers or waiver of special partner's pension.
